SASSY

Gender:Mare
Age:11
Hands:15 H
Breed:Paint

Sassy was a pasture pet for several years when her elderly owner realized she was no longer able to care for her. She was given to us to re-train and re-home. She’s had 30 days with a trainer using the Clinton Anderson Method and has been ridden on the trails, and is now being ridden English. She’s very versatile and ready to go any way her new owners want’s to take her. She is very soft, moves off leg pressure with good stop and backing. She has never offered to buck or rear at w/t/c. Needs experienced rider as she will try a novice rider. Pastures well with other horses, easy going mare. Beautiful open show prospect for halter or any discipline with consistent continued training.

Adoption fee: $1,200

Awesome job April!!! Sassy has a solid foundation and is ready to go whichever direction her new owner wants to take her. She will be great English or Western Pleasure! You can meet her this Sunday at our adoption event. For more info on Sassy and other available horses visit our available horses page. http://www.thesafehorseproject.org/horses/

Sassy

Sassy – Beautiful 11y/o grade paint tobiano mare. She had been trained in her youth but had been a pasture pet for several years. She was an owner surrender. We were told she was ridden previously. Good ground manners, started with CA method, has progressed well. She was adopted and brought back due to being too much horse. She's had an additional 30 days with Charissa who says she is doing really well. Please fill out an application if interested. http://www.mississippihorses.org/adoption-information.html

Sometimes our plans to provide them with a forever home doesn’t always work out that way. Sassy’s owner adopted Bogie from us last year and due to unforeseen health problems, Bogie was recently returned. We were asked if we could also rehome her beloved Sassy. Whoever is lucky enough to adopt either of these two will have to understand Mrs. Ann will want continued updates and pics. She’s coming out tomorrow to bring them some treats. ❤️ Charissa Gentry trained and worked them for her to keep them in shape. We are grateful to have Charissa continue their training.
