Fire’s owners realized they wouldn’t have time to put the training into her she needed in order to find a good home so she was donated to the Trainers Challenge. She is a beautiful and unique color and has the fire and spirit of an Arabian. She’ll be a great prospect for just about anything her new owner wants her to be.

Betsey Munday – I’ve owned horses since I was two but I didn’t get serious about it until I was ten. My dad and I had horses on land that we leased and we just kept to ourselves. I attended my first horse camp at an English barn when I was twelve and that’s when I learned that jumping was what I wanted to do. My parents decided to let me have lessons and I soon became a camp counselor for the Horsemanship Camp. I worked for both Susan Walt and Patti Shoemaker as a groom and stablehand, and warm up rider for their respective IEA teams. I have been on the MSU Equestrian State Hunt Seat Team and went to regionals in the spring of 2019.  I interned for Colton Woods of Colton Woods Horsemanship (former assistant trainer for Dan James) in the summer of 2018 to improve my horsemanship skill. I am now the assistant coach for my regions Special Olympic Equestrian Team and have started to give lessons to young children who are interested in getting into the horse world. I have experience training young, green horses over fences, and started my first horse, a 2-year-old, from the ground up this past spring. I am currently looking for a job in the horse industry and hope to own my own business and offer lessons as well as get started in my own training facility. I have a degree in Animal Dairy Science from MSU. I also am working on getting my certification as a PEMF specialist for the Magna Wave. I am looking forward to participating in the Trainers Challenge to learn new things
and get my name out there as a trainer.
